My and Rigo's life was put up to the test for a full year. His artist in residency was extended for a full year and that left was living apart, he would visit often but the most time that we spent apart was 3 months. The first 3 months weren't bad but the last 3 were a little hard because I was pregnant with out first child. Finally after 5 years of marriage we were going to be blessed with a child and a SON to top it off. We and our families couldn't be happier but to make a long story shorter the school year had ended and I was on the first flight to NM to be with my hubby just in time for his opening in Las Cruces Museum of Art. So many people turned out and love the paintings, women were so moved they were in tears, I am sure the subject matter really touched home to them. At the end of the evening we had dinner and some drinks, beer for Rigo and virgin strawberry daiquiri for me, with the museum staff and people who posed for the painting. It was great what a night I am so proud of Rigo and of us for making it this past year and the greatest gift our son Emiliano we be here in about 10 weeks.
